De verdrijverring van de drijfmestpomp wordt gebruikt voor vele reeksen drijfmestpompen, de verdrijverring werkt samen met verdrijver voor de drijfmestpompen . Ze kunnen niet alleen helpen de pomp af te dichten, maar ook de middelpuntvliedende kracht verminderen. Het ontwerp en het materiaal van de schilfers zijn belangrijk voor de levensduur.
Deze afdichting is geschikt voor de meeste toepassingen voor het pompen van slurry . Het heeft als grote voordeel dat er geen klierwater nodig is. Een verdrijver die in een ring van hetzelfde materiaal loopt en met de schoepen aan de achterkant van het blad werkt, zorgt voor een lekvrije afdichting. Een vetgesmeerde pakkingbus met hals- en lantaarnringen lekt lekkage wanneer de pomp stilstaat. De inlaatkop heeft invloed op de effectiviteit van de uitdrijverafdichting en onder normale bedrijfsomstandigheden is dit type afdichting volledig lekvrij.
